50 Shades! The Musical
The RiverPark Center will host a laugh-out-loud night of musical fun based on the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy with original songs not for those under the age of 18. 50 Shades! The Musical is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 3. For ticket information, contact the RiverPark Office at: (270) 687-2787.

Owensboro/Daviess County Remembers the Civil War
Six local organizations presents events to showcase the history of the Civil War in our region as a commemoration of the 150th Anniversary. The events will be going on at various locations, all day Feb. 6 through Feb. 9. For a complete schedule of events, visit: www.TheOSO.com/OwensboroRemembers

Susan Dyer Author Event
The Daviess County Public Library will host local author and president of the Friends of the Holt Home, Susan Dyer. She will discuss her book “Lincoln’s Advocate: The Life of Judge Joseph Holt” from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 6. For more information, go to: www.dcplibrary.org.

Outdoor Owensboro
The Owensboro Convention Center will host one of their first expo shows, Outdoor Owensboro, all day Feb. 7. Owensboro RV will present the expo with hundreds of hunting, fishing, and out-door recreation related items on display and for sale. For more information on tickets, go to: www.owensborocenter.com.

“Head for the Hills”
The concert fuses bluegrass, jazz, hip-hop, and indie rock into songs inspired by love and misery and comic books. “Head for the Hills” will be presented at the International Bluegrass Music Museum at 7 p.m. Feb. 7. For more information, go to: www.bluegrassmuseum.org.

V-Day Owensboro Presents: “The Vagina Monologues”
The monologue is read by a varying number of women that deal with aspects of the feminine ex-perience. Admission proceeds benefit New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services. It will be performed at 8p.m. Feb. 7 and at 9 p.m. Feb. 8.

Polar Bear Plunge
The Hines Center hosts one of the biggest Special Olympics fundraisers of the year from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 8. For more information, go to www.soky.org.
3rd Annual “Bee Mine” Valentine Party

Western Kentucky Botanical Garden celebrates Valentine’s Day with crafts and games at 10 a.m. Feb. 8. For more information, go to: www.wkbg.org.
