candle Candle light 4010CENTRAL CITY, KY (1/31/14) ― Many throughout Muhlenberg County and the nation continue to deal with the shock and loss of the Watson family in an early Thursday morning fire. The house fire in Depoy left nine members of the Watson family dead, while one of the parents, Chad Watson, and a daughter, 11-year-old Kylie remain hospitalized.

Since the tragedy many have spoken of the Watson family's strong family ties, their  willingness to help others whenever they could, and their dedication to their  church, Calvary Baptist Church, on 605 Stringtown Road in Central City.

To show support and comfort for the Watsons and their many friends dealing with the loss, Calvary Baptist Church will conduct a candlelight prayer service tonight at 7 p.m. See: https://www.facebook.com/calvarybaptistchurchccky

According to a church spokesperson, both Chad and LaRae Watson attended Calvary Baptist Church even before they were married. Both played a big part in directing the children's church downstairs. LaRae was a member of the women's group and Chad taught a young adult's Sunday School class.

The children, much like their parents, also were very active in the children's and youth groups, according to the source.

According to the spokesperson, donations may be made by mailing checks payable to the following banks:
