BREAKING NEWS: Woman Arrested in Evansville on Sexual Abuse Charges

jessica evansville Evansville Police arrested Jessica Smith, 28, on a number of charges including three counts of sexual abuse first degree.HENDERSON, Ky. (2/4/14) - Evansville Police arrested Jessica Smith, 28, on a number of charges including three counts of sexual abuse first degree around 6 p.m. Feb. 3.

The charges stem from incidents that occurred at Smith’s residence in Henderson during the summer of 2013, according to HPD.

Smith is alleged to have hosted a number of children in her home ranging from six to 13 years of age.

The investigation revealed that several of the children were provided with alcohol and marijuana.

The investigation further showed that Smith engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with some of the children involved. Smith then professed to being a practicing witch and threatened to cast hexes and spells on the children if they spoke of the incident.

Smith was lodged at the Vanderburgh County Detention Center on the sexual abuse charges and additional charges are pending upon her extradition to Henderson.

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests and charges are expected.
