Reward Increased: Crime Stoppers Offer Bigger Bone for Information on Shot Collie

crime stoppers rewardOWENSBORO, Ky. (2/17/14) – A reward of $2,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a Daviess County Sheriff’s Office investigation regarding an injured dog.

Authorities today said the reward was increased from $500 to $2,000 in the search for the person or persons responsible for the shooting of an adult male collie found on Feb. 9.

In a previous news release, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office stated that On Sunday, Feb. 9, at approximately 2:30 p.m., authorities responded to an animal complaint on Grandview Road near Highway 334.

The investigation involves an injured dog determined to be an adult male Collie, that was located with severe facial injuries sustained from multiple gunshots.

The Daviess County Animal Control Office was contacted to assist with the investigation.

Both agencies are seeking information from the public that will identify the person(s) responsible for these injuries.
