Third Tuesday Writers Coffeehouse

Feb. 18, 7-8:30 p.m. – International Bluegrass Music Museum, 117 Daviess St.
The public is invited to attend this coffeehouse featuring Kentucky & Indiana authors, visual artists and a house band.

NSA Fast-Pitch Softball

Feb. 21-23, All day – The Next Level, 105 Carlton Dr.
Indoor softball tournaments take place throughout the day.

“The Mountaintop”

Feb. 21-23, 7:30 pm (Feb. 21-22) and 2 p.m. (Feb. 23) – Theatre Workshop of Owensboro, 407 W. 5th St.

Farm City Breakfast

The 36th Annual Farm City Breakfast - serving the best breakfast in Daviess County - will feature the Humanitarian of the Year Award, as well as recognize the youth involved in agriculture in our community. Tickets are $6 each and can be reserved by calling the Chamber at (270) 926-1860.

STORYLAB features ROCKS: Hard, Soft, Smooth and Rough, by Natalie M. Rosinsky! Hear Science Educator Kim Ray read the book, then discover all kinds of science fun! Story Lab Activity: Look at different kinds of rocks and make a pet rock to keep. This is a great activity for pre-school through elementary age groups and is included in the price of admission. Unscripted: An Indie Film Xperience

Feb. 22, 6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. – Daviess County Public Library, 2020 Frederica St.
This six-week series offers the best local and regional indie fare; however, this is more than just an average screening. Following a question and answer session with the filmmaker, the audience is asked to view the film a second time and participate in a live interactive audio commentary. Ask questions as the filmmaker, along with cast and crew, discusses the various facets of filmmaking as you view their project. What film venue would be complete without drinks and popcorn, all free and provided by local sponsor donations. There will also be special door prizes and giveaways.


Owensboro Dance Theatre & RiverPark Center Present Lightwire Theatre

Feb. 23, 3 p.m. – RiverPark Center, 101 Daviess St.
Lightwire Theatre earned attention as a 2013 finalist on "America's Got Talent." The Ugly Duckling and The Tortoise & The Hare will fascinate viewers young and old. Lightwire Theatre, with its dazzling visuals, poignant choreography, and creative use of music ranging from classical to jazz to pop, literally brings these classic tales into a new and brilliant light.
