investigation 300UPDATE: HENDERSON, Ky. (3/3/14) –A Sebree man has been arrested in connection with the death of Adam W. Hogan of Uniontown after an investigation was concluded by Henderson Police Monday, March 3.

According to a Henderson Police report, Robert R. Brantley, 38, of Sherri Lane, Sebree, was working as a security guard at Double Dukes Saloon Saturday, March 1.

Witness statements and evidence obtained from the autopsy of the victim led to a charge of murder against Brantley. He has been lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.

The investigation is continuing and HPD is asking anyone that witnessed the incident, who has not been interviewed by police, to contact HPD. Police are also seeking anyone that might have recorded the incident with a smartphone.

The original story follows:

Henderson Police released the following statements regarding an investigation of a death that occurred Saturday night just before midnight:

“Detectives with the Henderson Police Department are currently investigating a death that occurred at Double Dukes Saloon in Henderson last night.

It occurred when Double Dukes personnel removed a male patron from the bar area.

Detectives spoke with witnesses and gathered evidence at the scene last night, but no names or charges will be released until after the victim's autopsy at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville.

The victim in (the) altercation at Double Dukes Saloon has been identified as Adam W. Hogan of Uniontown, Kentucky.

Bruce Farmer, Henderson County Coroner, pronounced Hogan dead at Methodist Hospital where he was taken by ambulance.

Earlier today, an autopsy was conducted on Adam W. Hogan at the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office in Madisonville.  At this time, the medical examiner would not give a definite ruling on Hogan's cause of death.  More tests are being conducted so the results of the autopsy are still pending.

The incident is still being investigated by the Henderson Police Department.

Detectives are requesting that any witnesses from last night's incident whom they have not spoken to contact them at the Henderson Police Department along with anyone who may have recorded the incident on a smartphone.

There are no suspects in custody at this time."
