Junior Achievement Needs Volunteers for CCES Fifth-Grade Program

JA Our NationCENTRAL CITY, Ky. (3/18/14) — Junior Achievement is seeking four volunteers for programs at Central City Elementary School.

All fifth grade classrooms will participate in the “JA Our Nation” Program, which provides practical information about the need for employees that can meet the demands of the 21st century job market, particularly high-growth, high-demand jobs.

By program's end, students will understand the skills, especially in science, technology, engineering and math, that have the potential to make their futures brighter.

Volunteer's, one for each of the school's four classes, are being sought.

The programs are scheduled 8 to 8:45 a.m. Wednesdays, April 9 through May 14, skipping April 30.

All materials and lesson plans will be provided for the volunteers.

A new volunteer training will be scheduled for anyone new to the program.
