Henderson Police Investigate Incidents and Accidents

hend police arrest2 300HENDERSON, Ky. (3/20/14) — The Henderson Police Department reported the following recent police activity:

  • March 13, a Henderson resident reported to authorities that her social security number had been used by another person to file taxes sometime between Dec. 14, 2013, and March 13. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crimestoppers at (270) 831-1111.

  • 2:30 p.m., March 14, Henderson Police Department responded to a report of theft of a motor vehicle registration plate from the 500 block of N. Main St. A man at the residence told authorities the plate was believed to have stolen sometime between March 13 and March 14. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crimestoppers at (270) 831-1111.

  • 11 a.m., March 15, Henderson Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from an automobile lot in the 600 block of N. Green St. An employee at the business told police a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer was driven off the lot by a customer performing a test drive and never returned. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crimestoppers at (270) 831-1111.

  • Henderson Police responded to an accident at the intersection of Third St. and N. Ingram St. March 15. According to authorities, Paul Cornwell, 59, Henderson, was driving east when Stevan Allen, 59, Henderson, apparently struck the side of Cornwell’s vehicle as Allen pulled out northbound. Cornwell was taken to Methodist Hospital in Henderson for treatment of non-threatening life injuries, police said.

  • 8:20 p.m., March 15, Henderson Police received report of a burglary in the 900 block of Second St. A man at the residence told authorities someone broke into his apartment and took more than $500 worth of unspecified items. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crimestoppers at (270) 831-1111.

  • March 16, Henderson Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1000 block of Saddlebrook Drive. Authorities said a man at the residence told them someone entered his residence sometime between March 13 and March 14, and took items from the residence. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crimestoppers at (270) 831-1111.
