Henderson Police Arrest Two in Alleged Altercation

hend police arrest6 300HENDERSON, Ky. (3/25/14) – Two people were taken into custody in the 500 block of N. Adams St. in Henderson Monday morning just after 9:30.

Henderson Police said they responded to a reported “911 hang-up call” at the residence, and made contact with Roger D. Redden, 35, Henderson, who lived at the residence.

Authorities said Redden told them he made the call but couldn’t explain why.

Police said they had warrants for Redden’s arrest, and alleged he “became aggressive and began to fight with officers” when they attempted to arrest him.

His girlfriend, Ashley Brock, 28, Princeton, Ind., also allegedly attempted to intervene.

Redden was taken into custody and transported to Methodist Hospital, but police said in a statement that his medical needs weren’t related to the alleged struggle.

Redden is charged with third degree assault and resisting arrest. He also had warrants on charges of second degree assault and a warrant for first degree wanton endangerment.

Brock was arrested and charged with hindering prosecution/apprehension.

An officer was treated for minor injuries, police said.
