HendersonPD logoHENDERSON, Ky. (4/16/14) — Henderson Police reported the following accidents and investigations:

Today at 3:14 a.m., Henderson Police responded to a report of an accident on U.S. 41. Authorities said Jeffery Engleby, 26, Eldorado, Ill., was driving a semi north on U.S. 41 when he apparently struck the center concrete median and a guard rail, causing the semi to overturn. The accident resulted in a temporary road closure due to the tree sap being hauled by the semi. Engleby was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries.

Henderson Police responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Barrett Boulevard, April 14, 4 p.m. Authorities said Nancy Eckert, 73, was driving east on U.S. 60 approaching Hannah Felty, 17, who was stopped at a red light at the intersection with Barrett Boulevard. Police said Eckert told them she wasn’t able to stop before colliding with Felty’s vehicle. Felty was taken to Methodist Hospital in Henderson for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Henderson Police responded to a report of a theft in the 600 block of Washington Street, April 11 2 p.m. According to authorities, a woman at the scene told them someone had stolen her medication sometime between 11:30 p.m. April 10 and 2 p.m. April 11. Henderson Police responded to the 700 block of Kimsey Lane regarding report of a burglary, April 6, 1 p.m. Police said a man at the residence told them someone entered his apartment and took less than $500 in cash. The investigation is continuing.
