Henderson North Middle School 300HENDERSON, Ky. (4/17/14) – Henderson’s North Middle School Eighth Grade Choir received an overall rating of ‘distinguished’ at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Large Ensemble Performance Assessment Tuesday, April 15, in Madisonville.

The students performed "Celebrate Music" by Joseph M. Martin and "Sanctus" by Sandra Howard. Judges' comments praised students for good vocal tone quality, correct pronunciation of Latin text, and professionalism.

The Eighth Grade Choir will perform these pieces again at their concert Tuesday, April 29, 7 p.m. at the Henderson Fine Arts Center. Choir students from all grades will also perform "oldies" rock n' roll and pop hits from the 1950s to the 1990s.

Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students.

Eighth Grade Choir members include; Tyler Alexander, Desiree Alley, Chase Becker, Zechariah Belle, Rachael Berberich, Kathryn Berry, Autumn Billings, Gracie Billings, Ashlee Brooks, LaShawnda Brown, Alexis Davis, Arrian Davis, Cameron Davis, Alyssa DeCorrevont, Devin Diamond, Kaitlyn Epperson, Lillian Epperson, Elijah Folsom, Olivia Fowler, Stephen Fulkerson, Paige Gibson, Kennedy Glassco, Brianna Graham, Kaitlin Green, Kelli Green, Victoria Gregory, Kiara Haynes, Kathryn Hinton, Amber Loney, Katelyn McCord, Hannah Melton, Jason Melton, Skyler O'Nan, Abigail Perry, Alexandria Phillips, Mercedes Rutledge, Andrew Sauls, James Savage, Ashtyn Simmons, Savanna Sowders, Cameron Springer, Mary Grace Stephens, Lexi Taylor, Rainee Terrell, Bailey Watson, Alyssa Weber, Shelby Wilkerson, Hailey Winters, Destinie Woodard, Avery Yates.
