Henderson County High School Jr. Chef Team Advances to State

Jr.-Chef-Champs(lr) Kristen Hazelwood, Audra Goodley, Lauren Smith. Back row (lr) J. D. Scott and Jordan Hernandez.HENDERSON, Ky. (5/10/14) — Congratulations to the Henderson County High School Jr. Chef Team on receiving first place at the Regional Cook-off against Trigg County.

The team will now advance to the State Fair Competition.

The five (5) student team created their recipe based on the meal components for the school lunch program featuring local farm products.

The Crunchy Mexican Chicken Wrap will be placed in rotation on the school menus for the 2014-2015 school year. Virginia “Ginny” Johnson is the team coach and has worked with the team to perfect their skills.
