Arrest Made in Henderson Burglaries

arrested handcuffs blue 300HENDERSON, Ky. (6/2/14) — Henderson police have arrested Dylan Mays, 20, of Henderson on seven charges linked to three burglaries between April 29 and May 23.

Mays admitted to stealing four guns, prescription narcotics, money and electronics from homes at 2261 Greenbriar Drive and 771 Lakeview Drive. All of the firearms and some other items have been recovered.

Mays has been charged with two counts of burglary, second degree; one count of burglary, first degree; theft from a building of more than $500 but less than $10,000; theft of a firearm; theft of a controlled substance under $10,000 and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Mays was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.

The arresting officer was Det. Shannon Troutman.

The investigation is still open and further charges are possible.
