Accident Injury 01 green 300DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (6/9/14) — Venessa L. Cowan was operating a 1994 Toyota passenger car westbound on the Wendell Ford Expressway.

Ms. Cowan was approaching the East Parrish Ave overpass when she swerved to avoid what she believed to be a collision with a merging vehicle that was traveling onto the bypass.

Ms. Cowan lost control of her vehicle which overturned in the median where is stopped. A juvenile passenger was transported to the Owensboro Health Emergency room with non-life threatening injuries. Ms. Cowan was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and failure to maintain insurance, among other traffic charges.

She was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
