Independence Day: Remember to be Thankful for Our Freedoms

DSC 0028U.S. (7/4/14) ― On this Fourth of July we celebrate our Independence. Our freedom was won, and continues today, thanks to our military men and women, who protect us from foreign threats; and, our law enforcement personnel that protect us at home.

The Navy’s Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds represent the skill, daring and courage of all our protectors. These photos are from a Blue Angel practice session at Pensacola Naval Air Station last week. As a former Air Force pilot, I can assure you that these pilots are simply amazing.

Sometime today, join me in offering a prayer of thanks for our Independence, a prayer of gratitude for those, who have sacrificed so much and a prayer of protection for those that serve today.
