octcs building 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (7/28/14) — Change your life in an instant with Instant Admissions Day at Owensboro Community and Technical College Friday, Aug. 1, at the START Center, located in the upper level of the Campus Center on OCTC's main campus at 4800 New Hartford Road.

Instant Admissions Day is an OCTC program designed to help prospective students enroll fast. Prospective students are encouraged to apply to OCTC prior to Aug. 1 and call (270) 686-4418 to reserve a spot, according to Kevin Beardmore, OCTC vice president of student affairs.

"An applicant can complete testing, transcript evaluation, advising, registration, and applying for financial aid in one visit to campus," Beardmore said. "They need to apply before the Aug. 1 so we can let them know what they need to bring that day."

Instant Admissions Day will be 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the START Center on OCTC's main campus. For information, call (270) 686-4418.

"They will find out that they can do most everything on their schedule and be ready for fall very quickly," Beardmore said.

Classes begin Aug. 18, students can visit the START Center Monday thru Thursday 8-5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8-4:30 p.m.
