MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/29/14) — A McLean County man has been arrested for exploiting a Drakesboro man by allegedly collecting money for a job he did not perform.
According to a Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Office report, the Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Department of Community Based Services in reference into the possible exploitation of an adult.
Deputy B.W. DeArmond's investigation revealed the at the Drakesboro man hired Terry C. Embry of Calhoun to repair the roof on his home with proceeds from an insurance claim. Embry allegedly took the money and purchased a truck and tractor and made no effort to repair the man's roof.
Embry was arrested on a warrant by the McLean County Sheriff's Office for knowingly exploiting an adult for more than $300 and theft by deception less than $10,000.DeArmond was assisted in the investigation by Department of Community Based Services and McLean County Sheriff's Office.
