HENDERSON, Ky. (8/3/14) — The 2014 Annual Statewide Career & Technical Education Summer Program themed 'Learning that Works for Kentucky' was held at the Galt House in Louisville, Ky., July 21-24, 2014.

The Kentucky Association for Career & Technical Education annually presents awards. This year the Henderson County High School CTE Unit was presented with a plaque in recognition of attainment of the top 10 percent status among area technology centers in percent of students meeting career readiness accountability standards.

The Henderson County High School CTE Unit finished sixth out of 96 in Kentucky. The plaque will be displayed in the CTE Unit at Henderson County High School. Victor Doty, Director of Career and Technical Education for Henderson County High School and Brian Bailey, CTE Assistant Principal accepted the award presented by Dr. Harry Winkler, State Director for Career and Technical Education.
