HENDERSON, Ky. (8/4/14) — The Henderson Police released the following reports.
James Cooper of Henderson reported sometime between 6:30 p.m. on July 31, 2014 and 10:00 a.m. on Aug. 1, someone stole his white 2005 EZ GO golf cart valued over $500. No arrests have been made at this time as the investigation is still on-going. The Henderson Police Department responded to an accident with injuries on July 31, 2014 at the 200 Block of Washington Street. Pheabe Dear, 70, of Evansville was traveling westbound on Washington Street. Dear hit a parked car. The parked car was parked facing north bound at the 200 Block of Washington Street. Dear was taken to Methodist Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
On July 31 Officers responded to 1305 North Main Street Henderson Ky. (Methodist Hospital) in reference to an assault. Upon arrival Officers spoke to Timothy Barron. Timothy Stated three subjects hit him in the face and threw him to the ground at the intersection of Mill street and Bailey in Henderson Ky. Timothy arrived to Methodist Hospital on his own and was transported to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville Ind. for possible head injuries. On July 31, 2014 the Henderson Police Department responded to the boat ramp at 2nd Street and Water Street in reference to a vehicle being driven into the Ohio River. Sharon Sandefur, 46 of Bardstown, mistakenly drove her 1998 Ford Taurus into the Ohio River. Sandefur stated that she was not aware that the road had ended and she was on a boat ramp. The vehicle was recovered and Sandefur was not injured in the accident.
