The team was given the goal of incorporating social media throughout the conference. They achieved this goal by creating an Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for KACTE as well as videos to go along with each social media. The students ran a booth while at the conference, helping set up scanners on both phones and tablets in order to insure social media could be fully used by conference participants.
The Henderson Social Media Team was introduced by CTE student Phillip Johnson to the Kentucky CTE Educators at the general session. He did an outstanding job describing each of the Social Media functions. Throughout the conference Victor Doty, Director of Career and Technical Education and Brian Bailey, Assistant Principal, Henderson County High School, heard positive compliments about these students such as; they are professional, knowledgeable, detailed, and very helpful.
