Henderson County High School 300HENDERSON, Ky. (8/16/14) - Henderson County High School freshman football coach Marvin Trent passed away on Friday, Aug. 15. Henderson County High School administration and guidance counselors met with the team on Friday to inform them of the loss.


Henderson County administration and counselors were available for students and staff throughout the day for anyone seeking or needing counseling. Henderson County Schools also issued a press release expressing its sadness for the loss.


Members of the Colonels' varsity football unit will enter the 2014 season with heavy hearts. Head coach Tony Lewis will guide the Henderson County football program into the upcoming campaign.


The Henderson County varsity football team will host Evansville Reitz (Ind.) for a season-opener on Friday, Aug. 22.
