WKCTC’s Clemens Fine Arts Center Director Selected for Arts Council Juror

GAIL BUTLERPADUCAH, Ky. (3/26/13) – Clemens Fine Arts Center Director Gail Robinson-Butler has been selected as a juror for the 2013-14 Kentucky Arts Council Performing Arts Directory.
 
Butler was chosen as one of three jurors to serve on a panel for the Kentucky Arts Council (KAC) in Frankfort, KY. The panel selects performing artists to be listed in the 2013-14 KAC Performing Arts Directory. The panel consists of performing art presenters, educators, and artists. The KAC Performing Arts Directory is a valuable tool for artists and presenters. The opportunity for artists to be booked is greater and presenters who book the artists are also eligible for grants from the Kentucky Arts Council.
 
“I believe the Kentucky Arts Directory is an extremely important tool for Kentucky artists and presenters. The jury selects Kentucky artists for the directory and promotes more in-state touring opportunities,” Butler said.
 
Butler became the director of the Clemens Fine Arts Center in 1993 and served on the panel to select the participants for the 2010-11 Kentucky Artist Directory.
 
The Clemens Fine Arts Center is located on the campus of West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
