Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Accident in Ohio County

accident two car 300OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (4/29/13) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision just after 3 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Ky. Hwy. 69 and Ky. Hwy. 85 in Ohio County. According to Kentucky State Police, Michael Wallace, 57, Morgantown, was traveling south on Ky. 69 South in a 1997 Plymouth, in front of Donald Mitchell, 47, Hartford, in a 1996 Dodge Dakota.

Authorities said that while driving along a straight stretch of the highway, Mitchell apparently began to overtake Wallace when Wallace attempted to make a left turn into a driveway. Mitchell struck Wallace in the driver’s door and then exited the road on the east side and struck a tree, where it came to final rest. Wallace’s vehicle continued southbound where it came to final rest in the roadway. Mitchell was transported by EMS to Ohio County Hospital for observation. Wallace refused EMS.
