HENDERSON, Ky. (3/15/13) – Henderson-Henderson County Chamber of Commerce President Brad Schneider spoke to nearly 1,000 Henderson County High School Career and Technical Education students last week. Brad Schneider emphasized the importance of soft skills and titled his speech “Skills Pay the Bills”
Regional employers seek employees with a positive attitude, critical thinking skills, the ability to work in a team, the ability to clearly communicate, networking, and being professional.
The Career and Technical Education is in the process of adopting the national Common Career and Technical Core standards for every program within the unit. The Common Career and Technical Core standards incorporate 21st century skills which include a heavy emphasis on soft skills.
