MADISONVILLE, KY (2/23/12) – At approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, while on routine patrol Sergeant Dewel Miller and Officer John Hibbs from the Kentucky State Police/Commercial Vehicle Enforcement located a non-injury collision involving a commercial vehicle at the 41 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
Through the course of the collision investigation it was discovered that the driver was in possession of a quantity of Anabolic Steroids, empty pill capsules, and numerous syringes.
The driver, 29-year old Jordan Sample of Cherokee Village Arkansas, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Two counts of Trafficking in Controlled Substance 2nd degree, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container, Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/Ect., Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited, and numerous commercial vehicle safety violations.
Mr. Sample was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
