Madisonville Woman Arrested for Trafficking Marijuana

dunlap arrestHOPKINS COUNTY, KY (2/24/12) – On Thursday, February 23, 2012, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Kentucky State Police Troopers arrived at a residence located on Victoria Drive in order to serve an arrest warrant.
 
However, the individual they were looking for was not at the residence. While at the door, the troopers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the residence. A search of the residence revealed approximately 11 oz. of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Trooper First Class John Komar arrested Tonya Dunlap, age 44 of Madisonville, KY, and charged her with Trafficking Marijuana (8 oz. to 5 lbs.) 1st Offense (D Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
 
Dunlap was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
 
Trooper Bob Winters and Trooper First Class Mark Combs assisted.
