Man Apprehended, Connected to Multiple Burglaries

ethandavis 300HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (5/3/12) –Today, May 3rd, members of the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department (HCSD) were able to locate and apprehend an area resident believed to be responsible for multiple burglaries late last month.

HCSD Detective Scott Troutman reports that on April 24th and 25th the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department received calls alleging multiple burglaries in the Hanson, KY area. Specifically, the HCSD say the burglaries took place in both storage buildings on Stagecoach Road and an individual residence located on J.D. Buchanan Road.

As a result of the investigations that followed, 19-year-old Ethan Davis of Madisonville, KY has been charged with two counts of Burglary in the third degree (storage buildings) and one count of Burglary in the first degree (residence).

Deputies were successful in recovering a large portion of the stolen property, including some tools and a four-wheeler. However, some of the property has not yet been located, including a second four-wheeler (a 1991 model Yamaha Moto 4 Timberwolf).

Anyone who has information regarding these crimes, or the whereabouts of remaining stolen property, is encouraged to contact the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department by phone at (270) 821-5661.

As always, anonymous tips are welcome.
