Ehresman Named Program Manager of WKU Lifelong Learning

wku ereshmanBOWLING GREEN, Ky. (3/25/13) – Cindy Ehresman has been named as the new Program Manager of Lifelong Learning, a department of DELO Continuing and Professional Development. She began her new position on March 18, and she is responsible for developing youth and adult non-credit educational programs.
 
Ehresman was previously the Program Manager of the School of Leadership Studies. While at WKU, she completed her M.A. in Communication and her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
 
According to Associate Vice President, Extended Learning & Outreach Beth Laves, Ehresman will work closely with WKU faculty/staff and community leaders to identify and deliver learning opportunities to the people of this region. “Cindy has over 17 years of experience working with diverse local and regional organizations. Under her leadership, WKU Lifelong Learning will expand programs and offer even more outreach opportunities,” Laves said.
 
“I plan to expand non-credit programming to offer more expansive, innovative programs beyond the most popular enrichment and online learning courses,” Ehresman said.
 
One of her first goals is to offer much-needed test preparation courses such as ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT. “I would also like to develop new lifelong learning opportunities geared toward geared toward adult learners.” Ideas include educational lectures on a wide range of topics and programs such as preparing for a second career and educational travel.
 
“I also hope to gain insight from people throughout our community,” she added. “We would like to know what programs people are interested in so we can expand our available courses. That includes people with expertise who would like to share their knowledge with others.”
