Stabbing Incident on East Broadway

NutcaseMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/19/13) – On Saturday, January 19, 2013,  at approximately 2:46 AM, the Madisonville Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing.

According to Madisonville Police officials, officers were dispatched to 246 Caroline Street in refrence to a stabbing that occurred at 232 East Broadway, Apartment 8.  Upon arrival, officers met with Barry W. Barnes, who advised that he and Jonathan S. Nutt had gotten into a verbal altercation that led to an incident where Nutt stabbed Barnes multiple times with a pair of scissors.

Nutt was arrested and is currently housed in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
