Body of Missing Man Located in Muhlenberg County

breakingnews1MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (3/23/13) – On March 24, 2013, Sheriff Curtis McGehee with the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office reported that a body of a missing man has been located.

According to Sheriff McGehee, a local farmer contacted Central Dispatch, informing them that a body had been found in a field on his property. The body was identified as that of 26-year-old Justin M. Wheeler, of Elkton.

Last week, SurfKY News reported that Wheeler had been reported missing after a female had dropped him off on Henderson Lane in Greenville on March 14.

At this time, Sheriff McGehee reported that an autopsy will be performed and that the investigation is currently ongoing by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, Greenville Police Department and the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office.

Central City Police, Powderly Police, Emergency Management, and Kentucky State Police assisted in the recovery of the body.
