car show 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (3/26/13) – Rev up your engine, buff off your classic car and mark your calendar for April 27th, when the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department (GFD) presents its First Annual Car Show on the Courthouse Square from 10 am to 2 pm.

Lt. Chuck Browning, of the GFD, and head of the fund raising committee, says the event will be a fun way to help the department raise funds for much needed equipment.

Browning says "The greatest need right now is to purchase more gear that we wear to go into a fire."

Asked about the response so far, Browning said it's gone very well. "We've had several people talk to us about it. There's a lot of car clubs interested in being a part of it from Muhlenberg and also from Hopkins County." Browning said.

The car show will include awards in various categories, a 50/50 raffle, lots of food, and door prizes.
