Dr. Seuss, Cats, Divas, Dogs and Music, all Coming to Muhlenberg

diva dog seussGREENVILLE, Ky. (4/5/13) – April brings Dr. Seuss' cats, divas and dogs , and a lot of great music from the MCHS band, all coming to the Felix E. Martin Jr. Hall in Greenville.

The MCHS Drama department dons familiar costumes for their unique take on Dr. Seuss' Seussical, The Musical" April 12th through the 14th.

"The Cat in the Hat" tells the story of Horton, an elephant that discovers a speck of dust containing Who’s, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge--not only must he protect the Who’s from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

The Regional Superintendent Meeting will be held Wednesday, April 24th, followed by the MCHS FFA Banquet on Thursday, April 25 at 6pm.

Friday, April 26th at 7pm, will kick off the Divas and Dogs Variety Show. Tickets are just 10 dollars for adults, 5 dollars for students.

A funny little clown, a hat-stealing dog, a lady who barks and howls to music, a baby who rides a bicycle backwards, and hoop jumping-dancing-skateboard riding dogs. It’s a wacky show with zany characters, comedy, songs, mime, audience participation and clever canines with plenty of tricks up their … paws. A trick dog show the kids will love!

The MCHS Chorus performs Sunday, April 28th at 2pm. And The MCHS Band Spring concert wraps up a busy April comes to the hall on Tuesday, April 30.
