The Madisonville Police Department would like to remind the citizens of Madisonville and Hopkins County that between May 20 and June 2, 2013, we will be observing the state of Kentucky’s annual “Click it or Ticket” campaign. In 2012, inside the city limits of Madisonville, there were 1091 vehicle collisions. In 2013, we have had 398 vehicle collisions to date. The mission of the Madisonville Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in our community by working in partnership with the community and, in accordance with constitutional rights, to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide for a safe environment.

There will be additional police enforcement visible during this time period. It is our duty to inform the citizens of this increased activity in hopes to decrease these collisions.
