Madisonville Police Releases Click it or Ticket Results

clickit ticket2 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/8/13) – The Madisonville Police Department’s participation in the “Click It or Ticket” National Highway Safety Campaign has resulted in significant reduction in vehicle collisions in the City of Madisonville.
 
During the period of May 20 through June 2, members of the Madisonville Police Department worked a total of 2205.50 hours, primarily focusing on seatbelt usage and traffic safety which contributed to a twenty percent reduction in vehicle collisions within the City of Madisonville.
 
This targeted effort led to the following activity:
7 DUI arrests
75 Seatbelt Violations
3 Felony Arrests
1 Fugitive Apprehension
8 Suspended License Violations
5 No Insurance Violations
6 Speeding Violations
1 Reckless Driving Violation
34 Other Traffic Violations
