HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (6/10/13) – On Friday, June 7, the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office received notice of a possible kidnapping and vehicle theft that allegedly occurred on that day.
According to Sheriff’s Office officials, Stephanie Bowley reported that during a property exchange on June 6, 2013 she was forcibly taken by her estranged husband, Jarod Bowley. The perpetrator kept the victim against her will for an unknown amount of time before dropping her off at a hospital in Evansville to seek treatment for injuries sustained during the abduction.
Jarod Bowley kept the victim’s car and later abandoned it in Daviess County, KY. The vehicle was located by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and KY State Police later that afternoon abandoned on a farm on KY 1514.
Jarod Bowley was located by Deputies Bean, Barnes and Gossett at 1060 Grays Branch Road in White Plains, KY following a tip called in to the Sheriff’s Office.
Bowley was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
