HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (7/2/13) – On Monday, July 1, Kentucky State Police (KSP), along with Med Center EMS and Dawson Springs Fire and Rescue, responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident with possible injuries at Mile Marker 93 on I-69.
Once on the scene, Troopers found that 32-year-old Larry Stanley of White Plains was traveling northbound on I-69 with two passengers, Anthony Clark, 19, and Lawrence Tossi, 29, both of Dawson Springs. As Stanley traveled down the roadway, his vehicle, a 1996 Ford pickup truck, hydroplaned, causing it to spin in the roadway. The vehicle then exited the right side of the highway, striking an embankment. The vehicle traveled an estimated 30 yards in the ditch beside the roadway, coming to a final stop facing south.
Stanley and his passengers were wearing seatbelts. All three were transported to Baptist Medical for injuries resulting from the accident.
