shooting 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/7/13) – The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) has released information regarding two shooting incidents that took place in within the Madisonville city limits on Sunday, July 7, 2013.

According to police officials, at approximately 2:33 AM, MPD responded to a disturbance in progress in the 200 block of East Noel Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found that there were several large groups of individuals involved in separate altercations.  It is reported that shots were fired before officer arrival, but no injuries were reported.
 
As the early morning hours progressed officers also responded to a drive-by shooting incident at 217 Branch Street, which occurred at approximately 3:24 A.M. Injured in this shooting incident was Rashad Combs age 21 of Madisonville. Combs, was shot in the shoulder and was treated and released from the emergency room at Baptist Health in Madisonville.

At this time both the shooting incident and altercations from Noel Avenue are still under investigation.
