Second Victim Comes Forward in Sexual Abuse Case

SEX CRIMES1 orange 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/9/13) – On Tuesday, July 9, Hopkins County Attorney Todd P’Pool announced that a second victim has come forth in the recent Unlawful Transaction with a Minor case involving former local teacher/coach Samuel Hann.

According to P’Pool, Investigators found new evidence over the prior weekend indicating that Hann had provided alcohol to a local 14 year-old minor earlier this year. It was also discovered that Hann had scheduled a trip to Florida with the minor, alone. P’Pool stated that Hann had scheduled the trip for the day after his initial arrest.

Early last week, Hann was arrested on four felony charges, including use of a 14-year-old minor in use of a sexual performance. Hann was released shortly thereafter on a signature bond.

“The signature bond set by Judge Whitledge would have permitted Hann to travel out of state alone with this victim,” said P’Pool. “This risk is unreasonable and I will again seek a bond modification.”

SurfKY New has contacted Judge Whitledge and is currently awaiting his comments on this case.
