Accident Involving Police Car and SUV

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/25/13) – On Thursday, just before noon, local law enforcement responded to a report of an accident involving a Land Rover SUV and a Madisonville Police Department car. SurfKY News was on the scene as clean-up of the accident began.Multiple Madisonville Police units were directing traffic at the exit of Pennyrile Parkway on Center Street. Initial statements are that the Land Rover struck the police vehicle in the side at the exit.
 
Police officials at the scene of the accident stated that further details would be released later today, but that no injuries were reported.
 
Sgt. Matt Enlow with the Madisonville Police Department is the investigating officer of the accident.
 
Capital Towing Service assisted in removal of the vehicles.
