MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/26/13) – On Thursday, July 25, 2013, the Hopkins County Sheriff Office received a call from a crew of the Hopkins County Road Department that they had located more suspected human remains from the creek that runs behind several residences on Continental Drive. The crew was on the scene doing repair work on the creek from the excavation done during previous searches.
Detectives from the Hopkins County Sheriff Office arrived on scene and began the recovery process of the remains. The remains were turned over to the Hopkins County Coroner’s office, who in turn, delivered them to the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office.
The remains have been determined to be human. Once identity has been established, an updated press release will be issued.
