Madisonville Police Request Info on Fugitive

Vehicle Pursuit 01 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/14/13) – The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) is requesting information from the public to assist in capturing a local fugitive.

According to MPD officials, on Tuesday, August 13, at approximately 8:50 PM, Officer Paul Haynie was involved in a vehicle pursuit with a 2001 light gray Chrysler 300. The pursuit began on McCoy Avenue after Officer Haynie observed the vehicle speeding and attempt to initiate a traffic stop.

After a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped in the parking lot behind the Presbyterian Church on West McLaughlin. From there the Operator fled on foot from the vehicle into Metcalf’s Nursery. He was not seen again after that.

The investigation revealed that the suspect is Zachary Jonathon West, of Franklin, KY. West is currently wanted on charges of Probation and Parole Violation and was operating on a suspended license at the time of the pursuit. West is 6’2, weighing approximately 205 lbs., slender build and a very close crew cut hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue or black sleeveless t-shirt that was open from the armpit down to the hem of the shirt, and light gray or tan basketball shorts. He has a tattoo on his neck and on both calves of his legs.

If anyone has any information on West’s whereabouts, please call the Madisonville Police Department or Crime Stoppers immediately.
