Structure Fire in Earlington

fire moss1 300EARLINGTON, Ky. (8/16/13) – On Friday, August 16, 2013, at approximately 10:35 AM, the Earlington Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a reported home with smoke showing at 307 East Moss Avenue.
 
Once on the scene, firefighters found that there were flames showing in the doorway of the home and a large amount of smoke showing. At this point, Mortons Gap Fire Department and the Richland Fire Department were dispatched for assistance.
 
The fire was brought under control at 11:24 AM. The residence experienced mass damage due to the fire.
 
At this point the cause of the fire was undetermined. The incident is still being investigated by fire officials.
 
The residence was vacant, with no individuals living there. There were no injuries reported.
