SKYCTC Caps Future LPN’s

sckctc 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (9/3/13) – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (formerly Bowling Green Technical College) held a Capping ceremony at the Glasgow Health Campus to mark the achievement of 44 future Licensed Practical Nurses.
 
“The Nursing Cap was introduced in the nineteenth century and continues as a traditional symbol of nursing and nurse training. SKYCTC Glasgow Health Campus holds a capping ceremony for Practical Nursing students when they successfully complete two-thirds of the training. During the ceremony, they are presented with a plain white cap and upon graduation they will be rewarded with a blue band. The male students are awarded a certificate”, said Dr. Jimmy T. Isenberg, Dean of Allied Health and Nursing/SKYCTC Glasgow Health Campus Director.
 
The following students were capped during the ceremony:
 
Barren County: Kaitlyn Beaty, Heather Buford, Sheena Choate, Jennifer Cooke, Marta Cunningham, Wendy White Duke, Carol Everett, Crystal Gordeuk, Brittany Hagan, Michael Kinslow, Crystal Marshall, Toye Medford, Jeanna Raney, Natasha Rascoe, Lindsey Rude, Jonna Wagoner, Shandi Wilson, and Candace Yeager
 
Allen County: Erika Rich, Leslie Sanspree,
 
Adair County: Sarah Steele
 
Cumberland County: Traci Graves
 
Edmonson County: Mazie Holt and Jessica Skaggs
 
Grayson County: Mary Beth Clark
 
Hart County: Wendy Durbin, Rebekah Lee, Allison Lutterman, Amber Reynolds
 
Logan County: Shanon Kees.
 
Metcalfe County: Amber Barnes, Lauran Decker, Melissa Grissom, Christopher Mosher and Sarah Patranek
