Maroons Take First Place for Ninth Consecutive Year

 

maroons9 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (10/28/13) — The Madisonville-North Hopkins High School Marching Maroons took home the first place trophy for Class AAAA for the ninth consecutive year at the Kentucky Music Educators Association competition Saturday, Oct. 26 at Papa John's Stadium in Louisville.

The MNHHS Marching Maroons traveled to Louisville KY to compete in the KMEA Class AAAA State Semi Finals where they scored a 91.6 to earn a spot in the top four bands to go on to the KMEA Class AAAA State Finals.

Under the direction of Randy Adams, Alan Emerson and Cory Mullins, color guard directors Katie Herrenbruck and Sara Emerson, the bands finals performance in Papa Johns' Cardinals Stadium scored a 90.86 to win their ninth consecutive state title of KMEA Class AAAA State Champions. In second place was Anderson Co. with a 89.5 followed by Grant Co. and South Oldham.
