trans adopt 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (10/28/13) - East View Elementary School has adopted a two-mile stretch of Kentucky 2830 from Irene Avenue to Iceland Spur and has scheduled their first "clean up" day from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.

The project is part of the statewide "Adopt-A-Highway" program, sponsored by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, in which individuals, organizations, companies and groups commit to picking up litter and keeping public roadways clean and attractive.

EVES students, parents and staff will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Kentucky 2830 and Wrights Landing Road. Participants are reminded to wear brightly colored clothing. Trash bags and gloves will be provided.

The volunteer community service project is part of East View's commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals and the greater community through leadership and service.
