'Do Activities and Be Happy' at Legends

legends 300OWENSBORO, Ky , (11/8/13) – If you are looking for a store that will help you get started or continue training for activities, Legends is that store.

In 2011, Legends moved from Frederica Street to their new location at 325 Park Plaza Drive.

“We want Owensboro to do activities and be happy,” Regional Manager Suzanne Holt said.

What makes Legends different than the traditional box stores is their personalized service. They want people who are itching to get out and be active. Legends does not just want to sell their customers something; they want to sell a lifestyle.

“We have a whole different atmosphere than the other sporting goods stores,” Cycling Manager Ryan Clark said.

Legends’ bicycle line has the capabilities to outfit the entire family. They sell anything from starter bikes for young children to professional bicycles for the seasoned veteran. Legends is partnered with Giant Bicycles, the world’s leader in bicycle sales and Legends carries off road bikes, pavement bikes, and everything in between.

The other side of Legends’ business is team sales. They outfit all the sports teams at both Kentucky Wesleyan College and Brescia College. Legends also takes care of most of the athletic teams for the four local high schools.

The teams’ sales are continuing to grow and now the store is reaching across the river to Evansville. Legends also has something to offer that most other business do not have.

“We are Western Kentucky’s Adidas team dealer,” Wes Carter, Vice President of Team Sales said.

Legends has truly grown from the original store that sold only golf items. Now, they are growing and have even opened an Evansville location. They offer educational clinics and every Tuesday they host a run from their store for conditional running.
