oso1 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (11/14/13) - One of the best things about Owensboro and Daviess County is that they are a great place to come home to! The relaxed environment and lifestyle, the friendly people, superb cultural offerings and great weather are among our big selling points.

The life of the symphony conductor is often a busy one. In addition to my job here as music director of the Owensboro Symphony I also conduct the Lafayette Symphony in Indiana and frequently guest conduct both in United States and around the world.

During the past year I’ve traveled to Medellin in Colombia, Salt Lake City, Boston, Jacksonville and Louisville to conduct. It’s always a great adventure for me. Medellin, in particular, was a blast! It has become a very vibrant city: transformed from one of the most dangerous cities in the world to one of the safest and recently voted most innovative city in the world. They have a very modern metro system - the only one in Colombia-two professional orchestras, an international University, fabulous museums and excellent restaurants, not to mention their world famous coffee.

Thanks to the support of the citizens of Daviess County we have one of the greatest orchestras anywhere - on par with any orchestra I conduct anywhere in the world. So you see why like coming home!
