MADISONVILLE, Ky. (11/18/13) – A White Plains man has been charged for choking his girlfriend during a quarrel in a hotel room Saturday, Nov. 16 in Madisonville.
According to the Madisonville Police, officers Russell Nichols and Paul Haynie received a complaint from the Days Inn that Thomas Martin Drake, Jr. was fighting with his girlfriend and destroying property. Drake’s girlfriend told police that he had choked her three different times to the point she could not breathe, the report.
Officers observed that Drake had busted a window in the room and the woman in the room had blood coming from her nostrils and a small amount of blood in the whites of her eyes. She told police that she thought he was going to kill her, the report said.
Drake is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail for charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, menacing, assault in the fourth degree (domestic violence) with minor injuries and a warrant from Muhlenberg County.
