MADISONVILLE, Ky. (11/19/13) – Since the recent news of the local Salvation Army running out of food right before Thanksgiving, community members throughout Madisonville have taken action in helping stock up the Salvation Army’s food bank.
Magistrate Christopher Toney has recently teamed up with Kroger to hold a two-day “Salvation of Thanksgiving” food drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 25 and Nov. 26 at the local grocery store on Island Ford Road, Madisonville.
“All donations will go to help stock the cupboards of our local Salvation Army in preparation to help those who may need assistance to have a Thanksgiving meal and other needs,” said Toney. “I am excited about this opportunity that we have to come together as a community and just do something good.”
