crimestopper hopkinsville 300CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (11/27/13) – A Christian County man was shot to death when an unknown suspect(s) fired multiple gunshots into his residence Sunday, Nov. 24 off Greenville Road, Hopkinsville.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department continues investigating the death of 21-year-old Antonio Cross.

Christian County Sheriff's Detective Steve Tucker says detectives are still developing suspects in shooting. Sheriff Livy Leavell confirmed that Cross, who was asleep inside his home, was shot just after 2 a.m. during an apparent drive-by type shooting.

Tucker says the shooter(s) apparently used some type of assault rifle to shoot at the home multiple times. He adds the victim's mother, niece and nephew were in the home at the time of the shooting, but none of them were injured.

Tucker said several people have been interviewed but the department has no leads in the case as yet.

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Crime Stoppers is asking for information about the person(s) responsible for the murder to contact their tip line at (270) 887-TIPS. If any information they receive can lead to an arrest of this crime, Crime Stoppers will pay the person who sent in the tip $1,000 cash reward. All individuals that call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line will remain anonymous and will not have to appear in court.
